A Company Tradition, Lightsource Development:
For almost two years now, our laboratory has been working on new lightsources that need to fulfill the most stringent ecological and economical requirements.
- 2000: First low mercury cold cathode tubes using the Philips HG+ Capsule technology are introduced to the market.
- 2001-2005: Development of a mercury free gas discharge technology. NP Lighting R&D, 4 Universities and 3 industry partners cooperate on this project. Funding by the German Ministry of Education and Research).
- 2005-2008: Development of an highly specialized electrode for use in mercury free cold cathode lamps. Project support by the German Environmental Foundation (DBU).
2010-: Development of a mercury free low voltage gas discharge lamplamp
